How to Set Up a Single-Sign on with Clever
Learn how to configure Edge Factor SSO with Clever for streamlined login.
This step-by-step guide walks you through linking your Clever account, setting admin permissions, and enabling secure, one-click access for educators and students.
Before You Begin

You must be a district or school-level IT administrator.

Your school or district must have an active Edge Factor membership.

You need access to your Clever District Dashboard.

Edge Factor must be added to your Clever App Library, or manually requested.

Step 1: Log In to Clever

Go to the Clever District Admin Login.

Sign in with your district administrator credentials.
Step 2: Add Edge Factor

In the Admin Dashboard, navigate to Applications.

Search for “Edge Factor” in the Clever Library.

Click Request Application if it hasn’t already been approved.

Once approved, click Add to include Edge Factor in your application list.
Step 3: Configure Data Sharing

Choose how to share data with Edge Factor:

By school, grade level, or specific user groups.

At minimum, share the following:

Educators
-
Students
-
Classes (for rostering)

Click Save to apply data-sharing rules.
Step 4: Assign the App

Go to Portal Settings in your Clever Dashboard.

Add Edge Factor to your school’s Clever Portal (LaunchPad).

Assign it to students, educators, and administrators as needed.
Step 5: Test the Login

Have a test user log in through Clever.

Click the Edge Factor icon from the LaunchPad.

Confirm that the user is automatically signed in to Edge Factor without a separate username/password.
Note: If your district uses Clever Secure Sync for rostering, confirm nightly syncs are occurring so new users and classes appear in Edge Factor automatically.
