What is a Badge and How Do I Earn One?

Here’s how you can earn badges:

Learn & Earn Badges

You can find these monthly challenges right on your My Journey page.

Every month, a new career is highlighted.
Watch videos, answer questions, and complete the challenge to earn that month’s badge.
When you complete it, you’re automatically entered to win prizes like gift cards, headphones, and more.
Learn & Earn is available to free and premium users.

Check back each month for a new challenge and a new chance to win!

Industry Badges

If you're interested in a specific industry like healthcare, construction, or IT—there are badges you can earn by learning about those fields.

These badges are available inside the Library or from pages about different industries.
Complete a series of videos or lessons related to a specific industry and you’ll earn a badge.

Great way to show you’re exploring your interests!

Student Journey Level Badges

These are awarded as you move through your Career Journey page, which is based on your grade level (6–12).

You’ll start by taking a Career Assessment Quiz (Stop 1).
Then you’ll explore a series of stops tailored to your personality and interests, such as:
- People who overcame challenges
- Careers that fit your personality
- Tools, skills, and safety tips for jobs
- Financial literacy, resumes, and interviews (in higher grades)
Each completed stop unlocks a new badge!

Your Career Journey page is always available on your My Journey page.

Badges Assigned by Your Teacher

If you're part of a classroom on Edge Factor (your teacher may call this a group or class), they might assign badges for you to complete.

You can find these inside the "Classes" section on your My Journey page.
When you complete an assigned badge—watch the video, answer the questions—you earn it automatically.
Your teacher can even see your progress and give you feedback.

If you’ve joined a class using a code, make sure you complete any assignments your teacher posts!
