Types of Roles a User Can Have
Learn about the different user roles on Edge Factor. Each role comes with its own set of permissions and features—knowing your role helps you get the most out of your Edge Factor experience.
Available Roles and What They Do
Role | Description |
---|---|
Administrator | Oversees all settings for their organization. Can manage users, control privacy and domain settings, and view usage analytics. |
Instructor | Educators who create classes, assign content, track student progress, grade assignments, and download lesson plans. |
Learner | Students or users who explore content, complete assignments, earn badges, and follow their own career journey. |
How to Check Your Role

Log into your account.

Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the bottom-left corner.

Select “My Profile.”

Scroll to the “Connected Organization” section.

You’ll see the organization you’re linked to and the role you’ve been assigned.
