Discover Careers Aligned with Your Strengths | Edge Factor's New Personal Assessment

What is the Career Journey Page?

The Career Journey Page is a grade-specific experience on the Edge Factor platform, built to help students in Grades 6–12 uncover and explore meaningful career paths. Each page includes 5 to 9 "stops", and each stop is an interactive learning moment tailored to the student’s level and interests.

Who is it for?

  • Students: Discover your interests, explore industries, and gain key skills based on what makes you unique.

  • Educators: Assign meaningful career exploration activities aligned with grade level, interests, and soft/technical skills.

Stop 1: Take the Career Assessment Quiz

Students start their journey by taking a career quiz (up to 24 questions) based on the RIASEC model (Holland Code). This reveals three personality types that reflect what they enjoy and how they like to work.

Each result includes explainer videos that break down the meaning of each type in a fun and student-friendly way.

These quiz results shape the rest of the journey — students will see content tailored to their top 3 types.

What You’ll Discover in the Next Stops

Each stop after the quiz explores a different topic, and varies depending on the student's grade level. Here are just some of the themes students may encounter:

  • Real People, Real Journeys: Watch how individuals overcame challenges and found success in careers that match your personality types.

  • Industries & Jobs: Explore industries you’re most suited for and learn about exciting jobs inside them.

  • Tools & Safety: Understand what tools are used on the job and the safety skills required.

  • Soft Skills: Build essential communication, time management, and teamwork skills.

  • Companies: See real-world companies offering careers in your areas of interest.

  • Career Readiness: In higher grades, dive into topics like financial literacy, resume writing, and interview prep.

All content is handpicked to help you build confidence and clarity in your future.
