Initial Account Setup

Welcome to Edge Factor! Before your school or district starts using the platform, there are a few key decisions to make to ensure a smooth setup. Use this guide to help plan your onboarding.

Choose Your Primary Contact

You’ll need to decide who will serve as your main administrator. This person will:

  • Oversee the school or district account

  • Access usage analytics and engagement data

  • Coordinate training and ongoing support

We recommend selecting someone with strong familiarity with your educators, student structure, and digital learning initiatives.

Select Your Login Method

Edge Factor supports multiple login options to meet your school's technical needs:

  • Google SSO

  • Microsoft SSO

  • D2L Brightspace

  • Clever SSO or Rostering

  • ClassLink SSO or Rostering

  • Username + Password (manual login)

Let us know which option(s) your school will use so we can configure your access.

Choose Your Plan

We offer flexible membership tiers based on the size and structure of your school community:

  • Class License – For a single classroom or educator

  • School License – For a single school location

  • District License – For multiple schools in a District

If you're unsure, our team can help you determine the best plan based on your goals and number of users.

Review Privacy Settings

Our platform is designed to meet global privacy standards, including:

  • PIPEDA, MFIPPA, and GDPR compliance

  • Secure data transfer and encryption

  • Customizable data sharing and collection settings

Review our Privacy Policy and DPA before launch. If you require a signed DPA, email privacy@edgefactor.com

Pre-Create Educator Accounts (Optional)

We offer bulk educator uploads to streamline onboarding. If you'd like to have accounts pre-created for your educators, we’ll need:

  • First and last name

  • School email address

  • School name and location

  • Job Title

Our team can provide a template for submitting this information.

Schedule Your Onboarding Training

Once your account is set up, we’ll schedule an onboarding session to walk you through:

  • Logging in

  • Navigating key features

  • Setting up classes

  • Assigning content

  • Tracking student progress
