Grades Tool
Track student progress and assignment completion with ease.
The Grades Tool is a helpful feature for instructors to monitor student activity, check assignment status, and view grades—all within a classroom setting on Edge Factor.
What It Does
Once you’ve:
-
Created a class,
-
Added students, and
-
Assigned content or assignments...
You can use the Grades Tool to see:
-
If students have started, are in progress, or have completed their assignments
-
Which videos and activities have been fully completed
-
Whether grading is required (for quizzes or open-ended activities)
-
A student’s average grade for a class or individual assignment
How to Access It
-
Go to the Workspace tab.
-
Click on the class you want to review.
-
Select the Students and Grades tab.
-
You’ll see a list of students in your class.
-
Click the “Grades” button next to any student for a detailed breakdown.
You’ll see:
-
A list of all assigned content
-
Status tags like:
-
“In Progress” (yellow)
-
-
-
“Completed” (green)
-
“Grading Required” (red)
-
“No Grading Items”
-
-
Individual content grades (where applicable)
Viewing Specific Assignment Grades
Want to check a particular assignment?
-
Open the Assignment inside the class.
-
Click the Students and Grades tab within that assignment.
-
This view gives you detailed progress just for that assignment.
If a video was assigned without a quiz or activity, no grade is recorded. You’ll see a “No Grading Items” label.
